Supporting Portsmouth and Solent youngsters to achieve their dream of becoming doctors
We are a charitable trust dedicated to helping aspiring doctors in our community. The Trust was founded in honour of Dr Mike King by Dr Manish Patel. Both doctors were raised in Portsmouth and returned to the city to work for our community
If you don’t have the contacts through family and friends, it is difficult for youngsters in Portsmouth and the surrounding areas to get work experience. Any aspiring doctors who are studying for their A-Levels can join our community by contacting us through the ‘Contact Us’ page. With a connected network of doctors who volunteer their time and expertise to provide necessary Work Experience, we open doors to youngsters to work alongside doctors and surgeons in the region.
Pairing medical students with experienced doctors to guide them in their journey
Alongside our Further Education partners, we organise multiple events throughout the year to support students with their applications to medical school. We organise Speed date interviews, an ‘Essential Reading Book Club’, Application workshops and ‘Preparing for the UCAT’ workshops. Click on our ‘Events’ tab to view upcoming events.
